The first act under the Campina Deco Program was to do everything possible to get people to remove the immense signs that sometimes completely covered the façades.
Ironically, it was this covering by signs, which intensified during the 80s, which prevented the renovations and alterations at that time, which would have modified the style forever.
The molding (elements of the façade) helped guide the setting of rules for the new signs and street lighting for the buildings.
